Haiti's Historic Iron Market Completely Renovated & Open For Business

GREAT NEWS!

I visited the Iron Market in Port-au-Prince last May, 2010, when it was still a crippled wreck, hoping that it would somehow be rebuilt, and indeed that miracle has happened, and here it stands, just reopened on the eve of the first anniversary of the great Earthquake of January 12, 2010:


This is a testament to and metaphor for the dauntless, ebullient spirit and energy of the Haitian people, whose courage and resilience awe the onlooker. I captured a bit of this spirit in a music video I made last year about the Iron Market and the giant outdoor market district surrounding it. Here it is:
