My front-yard zinnias are still growing, and as I walked by them every evening, I kept thinking how interesting it might be to shoot them at night. Well, after reading the lyrics to one of Caroline Herring's songs, Tales of the Islander, from her brilliant new album, Golden Islands of the Sun, in particular:
A full moon rising
On all of nature's powers
Stars just observers
Of zinnias and moonflowers
