LIGNET's Fleitz: US Must Stop Iran's Mushrooming Nuke Threat
Iran's nuclear program is growing at an alarming rate and the Obama Administration must stand up to it with tough sanctions, says Fred Fleitz, chief analyst at the global forecasting and intelligence website LIGNET.
"Iran now has about 9,000 kilograms of reactor-grade uranium . . . that if it went to weapons grade — which would take a few weeks to a few months — could produce seven to eight nuclear weapons," Fleitz told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV...............

Iran would enrich uranium to around 50 percent in order to fuel boats and submarines if it needed to operate such vessels, the head of the country’s nuclear agency said Tuesday.
International treaties forbid countries from enriching uranium to 20% or higher, since that type of enrichment is considered too high for civilian usage and indicates it could be for military purposes.........

Iran could have the capability to build a nuclear bomb by July, unnamed security sources said in a report published Friday.

EXCERPT:
WND has learned of the existence of a secret ballistic missile base in Iran’s Semnan Province to which the Islamic regime has moved missiles armed with microbial warheads.
The Badr base, a center for air defense which has about 50 underground missile silos housing Iran’s Shahab 3 ballistic missiles, serves as Iran’s second-largest missile-launching site, and is under the control of the Revolutionary Guards.

The base, in the deserts of Semnan far from any city, has many underground tunnels connecting to the silo launching pads, according to a source in the Revolutionary Guards intelligence unit.

Year of Decision: U.S. Policy toward Iran in 2013 - YouTube
YOUTUBE SYNOPSIS:
All signs point to 2013 being a year of decision on Iran. In particular, the Obama administration must crystallize its diplomatic and military options for confronting the challenge, which includes making the president's "prevention" threat credible in the absence of clear redlines and addressing concerns that a pivot to Asia could leave America militarily exposed in a confrontation.
To help U.S. policymakers prepare for the weighty choices that will emerge in the coming weeks and months, The Washington Institute released a new report, "Moving to Decision: U.S. Policy toward Iran," assessing the diplomatic, military, and broader strategic response to Tehran's nuclear activities.
To mark the publication of this study, the Institute invited Ambassador Thomas Pickering and the report's author, Ambassador James F. Jeffrey, to address a Policy Forum luncheon in Washington, DC, on February 7, 2013..........

Iran has what it needs to to build a nuclear bomb in a matter of four to six months, Amos Yadlin, the head of the Institute for National Security Studies, said Monday.
“Iran has completed in the last two years two components that… give it all of the necessary means to manufacture a nuclear weapons as soon as it chooses to do so,” Yadlin, a former Israeli army intelligence chief, told journalists at a presentation of the INSS annual report on Israel’s strategic status...........
