Iraqi forces launched a major push on February 19 to recapture the west of Mosul from the Islamic State jihadist group, retaking the airport and then advancing north. AHMAD AL-RUBAYE / AFP

Under Trump Era, Islamic State Downgraded from 'Caliphate' to Shrinking Terror Pockets: The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) has suffered devastating losses in Iraq and Syria under U.S. President Donald Trump that have decimated the group’s territorial caliphate, ultimately squeezing the jihadists into ever-shrinking pockets of land in Syria.
