The effort to identify tens of thousands of human remains found in mass graves in Libya will be assisted by equipment provided by Life Technologies.

The Carlsbad company said today it is donating instruments and prep kits to help identify people through their DNA.

An estimated 20,000 people were found in mass graves after the 2011 Libyan revolution that ousted longtime dictator Moammar Gadhafi. Researchers will also try to link remains with missing-person cases from Gadhafi’s 42-year rule............
