From New York to Singapore, hundreds of major news organizations, including the New York Times, the BBC, the Associated Press, Reuters, and the Voice of America utilized the worst possible news cycle to announce that they were in receipt of a "leaked" United Nations Report detailing:
• Arms shipments or suspected shipments to the DRC from Spain, North Korea, Ukraine, Iran, Libya, China, Belgium, Tanzania, the British Virgin Islands and others;
• Roman Catholic and Spanish networks of support to the FDLR and other rebel groups;
• Recruitment of soldiers from Rwandan refugee camps;
• Violations of international humanitarian law;
• Impediments in the disarmament process;
• Wanted war criminal General Bosco Ntaganda's parallel military operations;
• Recruitment of child solders;
• Obstruction of humanitarian access in eastern DRC; and
• Linkage between the exploitation of natural resources and the financing of illegal armed groups which reach all the way to Dubai and North Korea and include the purchase of a Boeing 727 aircraft originating at the Opa-Locka Executive Airport in Florida.
The Security Council was scheduled to take up discussion of the final report on November 25, and when it appeared the report might be altered or scuttled, it was "leaked" (released) to every news organization on the planet. Considering that the United States, China, France, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom and rotating member Uganda are all on the Security Council and all have been implicated in the report, it is no wonder the report was disseminated by rogues before it was dissected. Sources say China is especially eager to edit and delay the report and has demanded that it be translated into five additional languages before its "official" release.
The "leak" turned into a tsunami as hundreds of news organizations declared an exclusive on this "new" information.

Word out from Democracy Now is that Barack "Nobel Peace Prize" Obama is going to announce sending 34,000 more troops to Afghanistan next week, with again as many "contractors (read psycho mercenaries)". And journalist Jeremy Scahill has just exposed that Blackwater is running clandestine ops for the Pentagon inside Pakistan, and directing the murderous drone strikes that are killing about 10 civilians for every "terrorist (read defender of his country)". Obama will sell this escalation to us like a suave used-car salesman pitching a lemon, but it is all cr*p. Escalation means, short of the catastrophic collapse of our economy that will make it impossible to finance the slaughter, that we will be destroying human life in this region for years or decades to come. THE NEW VIETNAM, RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. Hitler also invaded other countries and shredded their citizens to make "PEACE", let us remember.

Douglas was interviewed in San Francisco by Angola 3 News in October 2009. This is the first segment of our interview to be released. In this segment, Douglas speaks about the Angola 3, the prison-industrial complex, and abolishing solitary confinement.
37 years ago in Louisiana, 3 young black men were silenced for trying to expose continued segregation, systematic corruption, and horrific abuse in the biggest prison in the US, an 18,000-acre former slave plantation called Angola. In 1972 and 1973 prison officials charged Herman Wallace, Albert Woodfox, and Robert King with murders they did not commit and threw them into 6x9 ft. cells in solitary confinement, for over 36 years. Robert was freed in 2001, but Herman and Albert remain behind bars.

DU weapons use in Iraq; drastic birth defects in Fallujah
Do not look at this if you have a weak stomach. The Marines bragged how they "kicked ass" in Fallujah, meaning that they used their billion dollar, highly lethal, often loaded with depleted uranium weapons systems to devastate a city that dared to fight back against the unlawful occupation of their country.
But we're spreading democracy some will say. Right, you can see what we've spread in these pictures.
The Marines only kicked their humanity into the gutter, only this and nothing more. That's the price you pay for being in the employ of the decadent Empire.

What a damning article this is, one comparing the rebuilding of New Orleans to the rebuilding of Lebanon. So-called "terrorist" Hezbollah is doing a much better job for its people than our "government (crooks, liars, thieves)" is doing for the people of New Orleans. I thought terrorists are cartoons who only blow-up people, so what is wrong with this entire picture as well as our rhetoric and perspective?
