Kiilu Nyasha on Reactionary Counterrevolution in the United States

This new video focuses on the counterrevolution launched against the Black Panther Party, other 1960's revolutionary groups, and the poor and oppressed communities that these groups were organizing. This is the second video released from the hour-long interview conducted by Angola 3 News with Kiilu Nyasha at her home in San Francisco, CA in November, 2009. The first video was released several weeks ago, and focused on Kiilu's recent article entitled "America's Supermax Prisons Do Torture."
Kiilu Nyasha is a San Francisco-based journalist and former member of the Black Panther Party. Kiilu hosts a weekly TV program, "Freedom Is A Constant Struggle," on SF Live (Comcast 76 and AT&T 99). She writes for several publications, including the SF Bay View Newspaper and BlackCommentator.com. Also an accomplished radio programmer, she has worked for KPFA (Berkeley), SF Liberation Radio, Free Radio Berkeley, and KPOO in SF.
Last week, Kiilu created a new website and has begun archiving the most recent episodes of her weekly TV program, "Freedom Is A Constant Struggle." The new website (http://www.kiilunyasha.blogspot.com) features these episodes that have been uploaded to the accompanying YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/kiilunyasha). Too many political activists “bundle” their messages. Everything, and the kitchen sink, can be thrown in. There is greater unity in causes when a single, pure issue can be presented, such as preventing further abuse of citizens by a Police State.
ReplyDeleteI intend on advocating that the FBI be required through legislation to remove J. Edgar Hoover's name from FBI buildings, and that any plaques, statues, and other memorabilia of Hoover's illegal reign of official terrorism not be celebrated with honoring a man of treason and gross official misconduct. The only way to put fear of prosecution, and exposure, out into the consciousness of the current collection of J. Edgar Hoover types, is to send out a clear message. Those who piss on the US Constitution and act as organized crime within government will not be honored, celebrated, and have ships, buildings, and other honors bestowed with their names.
The only way to address the present and future abuse of citizens, is to not celebrate the past abuse of citizens. We the people must demand that all honors bestowed on the tyrant, J. Edgar Hoover, be removed. I intend on asking elected officials to address this issue.
The FBI and other US law enforcement, domestic and foreign, should not be involved in plots to poison, confine, and kill those who speak out for freedom or attempt to distribute messages against the American ruling elite's wishes.
We must end the reign of world warring banking prison industrial complex.
